Visit to UKAEA Fusion and JET

JET – The world's largest nuclear fusion research facility

Abstract

1. Introduction by a member of the UKAEA Fusion Public Relations Team.
2. Guided tour of JET including visit to the JET Torus Hall and the Remote Handling control room (both subject to the operational conditions at the time).
3. Presentation of the Control and Data acquisition computer systems by Dr Jonathan Farthing, Assistant Director and Head of CODAS & IT.
4. Light refreshments, coffee and tea with biscuits.

Registration at the Reception gate at 1:30 pm, programme starts at 2:00 pm.

Prior registration at the bcsoxon web-site will be necessary. Visitor number limited to 24 individuals.
