Future Of BOG?

Well – here goes. What goes around comes around. Roy has produced the vision statement paper and I have added a few comments. However, I would draw your attention to the Guildford Position paper on Branch Evolution which was produced in 2000. We have also produced our own member services paper (no link) which covers the same groundwork. In fact the Guildford Position paper on Branch Evolution has been incorporated in many things we do within the society. There are also some interesting thoughts in it that have not yet been realised!

So what is left for the BOG to do? Have we done all we can do and perhaps its time to either pack-it-in or change direction completely? Personnally, I enjoy networking with the fellow committees of BOG, but are we deluding ourselves to think we have any more to do? HQ are not attending our meetings, we have no input from BMC, and so we have been well and truly isolated. We could look to influencing congress more in its business?

Perhaps this wiki is going to be our saviour? – If we use the wiki as a sort of and editable bulletin board, then we coluld meet face to face in a less formal forum (eg pub) two or three times a year

I have put a watch on this page so I will see how this works. Perhaps you should do the same!
